NATURE RESERVES

"Bird Paradise" Reserve

The Ptasi Raj Reserve is a protected area located on Sobieszewska Island in Gdańsk. The reserve covers an area of 198 ha and includes a complex of lakes, marshes, forests and meadows. There are over 200 species of birds in the reserve, of which 45 species nest permanently. During spring and autumn migrations, over 100,000 birds fly through the reserve. The reserve includes a 6 km nature and educational trail. The trail is equipped with information boards about the surrounding nature. The Ptasi Raj Reserve is a popular place for rest and bird watching. It is also an important area for the protection of biodiversity.

"Mewia Łacha" Reserve

The Mewia Łacha Reserve is a protected area located on the Gdańsk Coast, near the mouth of the Vistula River. The reserve covers an area of 150 ha and includes dunes, sandbanks, bays and canals. It is home to a rich flora and fauna, including over 100 species of birds. One of the most important elements of the reserve is the colony of grey seals. It is the only natural colony of seals in Poland. These seals number about 100 individuals and consist of both males and females. The Mewia Łacha Reserve is a popular place for recreation and bird watching. It is also an important area for the protection of biodiversity.

SOBIESZEWo BEACH

The beach in Sobieszewo is one of the most beautiful beaches in Gdańsk. It is located on Sobieszewska Island, near the mouth of the Vistula River. The beach is about 11 kilometers long and about 50 meters wide. The sand is soft and white, and the water is clean and clear. The beach in Sobieszewo is a popular place for rest and recreation. You can swim, sunbathe, walk, ride a bike or do other sports. There are also many food and drink outlets and shops on the beach. The beach in Sobieszewo is also a popular place for bird watching. In spring and autumn, many species of birds fly across the beach, including flamingos, cranes and seagulls.
