From grain to Granary Island

GRANO MISSION

Communication is the key for us. Our motto is to provide information to guests in the way we would like to be informed. We know that openness, transparency and a positive attitude are the keys to building lasting relationships. It is thanks to this that we are able to collect the most important crops - unforgettable experience of guests staying in unique hotels in the center of Gdansk.

These experiences are also the result of the unique atmosphere that we create in our hotels in Gdansk. The unusual interiors inspire with a hidden bottom, numerous references that are worth discovering during your stay.

Each of our projects is a seed which - on fertile soil germinates to become the crop - bringing the expected crop. There is a reason why the ear is in our logotype. We are a Polish company, hence the ear is also a reference to the economic history of our country, which for centuries was the granary of Europe. And it was in Gdańsk, on Granary Island, that the first SPA hotel we manage was created (Hotel Number One).

ISLAND WITH CHARACTER AND HISTORY

In Gdańsk, which was the largest Hanseatic city of this part of Europe, you can still admire the testimonies of the then splendor. Wonderful monuments are still associated with the merchant character of the city and are today the city's showcase. Thanks to its convenient location at the intersection of trade routes and the mouth of the Vistula, Gdańsk has become one of the most important ports in Europe already in the Hanseatic times.

It is for this reason that the huge Granary Island was built on the nearby Granary Island, at that time, where grain, wood, cloth, etc. were stored, etc. The Granary Island, demolished at the end of World War II, was not fortunately rebuilt, thanks today, there are no blocks of huge slab, but modern buildings with architectural sophistication, referring in character to old granaries.

The excellent location (between Motława and Nowa Motława, in the center of Śródmieście) and the beautiful new buildings make the Granary Island today a place that enjoys considerable popularity among Gdańsk residents, tourists and investors. The proximity of the largest historical attractions, such as the Green Gate, the Long Market, Artus Court, St. Mary's Street, St. Mary's Basilica, Neptune Fountain and others makes it a great base for tourists who want to feel the unforgettable atmosphere of Gdańsk.

The Granary Island is only a few minutes walk from the famous Gdańsk pubs, galleries, theaters, restaurants and museums. Nearby there is also Marina Gdańsk, a cult place for lovers of sailing and water sports. The Motława shore runs along beautiful walking and jogging routes.
