AUTUMN CYCLING AROUND SOBIESZEWSKA ISLAND

An extraordinary journey around Sobieszewska Island, where wild nature meets the peaceful rhythm of the Dead Vistula. Starting at the prestigious Sol Marina, you will follow a route through resin-scented coastal forests and picturesque embankments. Along the way, discover the unique ecosystem of the Ptasi Raj reserve, admire the area from above at the Kazimierz Water Reservoir and reach the spectacular Mewia Łacha, where lucky visitors may be greeted by resting seals. It is perfect for escaping the city, feeling the Baltic breeze and seeing the Vistula majestically meet the sea amid the historic lock technology at Przegalina. On the southern side, follow the Dead Vistula, passing the Galeon Shipyard and the infamous “Wiślinka” phosphogypsum heap.

TOUR PLAN

1. Start: Grano Hotel**** Solmarina.
2. Crossing the drawbridge.
3. We head towards the “Ptasi Raj” Reserve.
4. Viewpoint tower over Lake Karaś.
5. Viewpoint tower over Ptasi Raj Lake and the Messina Spit.
6. We follow Sobieszewska Island’s green trail to the “Kazimierz” reservoir.
7. On the way, we visit a shelter at a missile squadron command post.
8. We continue to the Vistula River.
9. Head to the Vistula’s mouth and “Mewia Łacha” nature reserve; optionally walk to the viewpoint tower at the reserve’s edge and by the river mouth.
10. We then reach the ferry crossing station in Świbno.
11. From Świbno, take the Vistula cycle highway to Przegalina.
12. From Przegalina, follow the Dead Vistula route.
13. En route, pass Wiślinka and the Galeon Yacht
14. Finish: Grano Hotel**** Solmarina.
