AUTUMN CYCLING AROUND SOBIESZEWSKA ISLAND

An extraordinary journey around Sobieszewska Island, where wild nature meets the peaceful rhythm of the Dead Vistula. Starting your adventure at prestigious Sol Marina, you will follow a route through resin-scented coastal forests and picturesque dykes. Along the way, discover the unique ecosystem of Ptasi Raj Nature Reserve, admire the area from above at the Kazimierz Water Reservoir and reach spectacular Mewia Łacha, where, with a little luck, resting seals will greet you. It is ideal for anyone wanting to escape the city bustle, feel the Baltic breeze and see the Vistula majestically meet the sea, surrounded by the historic lock technology in Przegalina. On the southern side, follow the Dead Vistula, passing Galeon Shipyard and the infamous “Wiślinka” phosphogypsum mountain.

TOUR PLAN

1. Start: Grano Hotel**** Solmarina.
2. Crossing the drawbridge.
3. We head towards Ptasi Raj Reserve.
4. Viewing tower over Lake Karaś.
5. Viewing tower over Lake Ptasi Raj and Mierzeja Messyńska.
6. We follow Sobieszewska Island’s green trail to the “Kazimierz” water reservoir.
7. On the way, we visit a shelter at a missile squadron command post.
8. We then reach the Vistula River.
9. We head to the Vistula mouth and “Mewia Łacha” Nature Reserve, with an option to walk to the viewing tower at its edge and the river mouth.
10. Next, we reach the ferry crossing station in Świbno.
11. From Świbno, we cycle along the Vistula to Przegalina.
12. From Przegalina: follow route along Dead Vistula.
13. En route, we pass Wiślinka and Galeon Yacht Shipyard.
14. End: Grano Hotel**** Solmarina.
