Sailing Training Program - Saturday Activities

• 9:00 – 10:00 – Arrival of participants, introduction to instructors and other children, team-building activities (learning sailing knots and directions of the world)
  • The day starts with a warm welcome from our instructors, who will introduce participants to the world of sailing adventures. Children will get to know each other during team-building games, such as learning sailing knots or activities related to directions of the world. It's the perfect way to break the ice and build team spirit!
• 10:00 –11:00 – Distribution of life jackets, discussion of safety during activities on the water and near water; preparation of sailing equipment for the classes, learning about the OPTYMISTA parts; "dry" activities: learning to steer, trim and release the sail
  • Safety is our priority. Children will learn how to behave safely on and around water. During the activities, instructors will present the structure of the OPTYMIST boat and discuss the basic principles of steering. Then, on land, they will start practical training in maneuvers – from steering to working with the sail.
• 11:00 – 11:30 – Breakfast break
  • Time to recharge! During the break, children can have a second breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere, enjoying the view of the marina and sharing their morning impressions.
• 11:30 – 13:30 – Sailing activities
  • Time to get on the water! Under the guidance of instructors, children will put into practice the knowledge gained during the morning classes. Learning to steer, working with the wind, and executing their first maneuvers – these are unforgettable moments that combine fun with learning. Each participant will feel like a real sailor!
• 13:30 – 14:00 – Cleaning up the equipment after sailing activities
  • After intensive classes on the water, children will jointly tidy up the equipment with instructors. This is also an opportunity to learn how to care for boats and other equipment. A practical lesson in responsibility that builds good habits.
• 14:00 – 15:00 – Motorboat rides, first aid activities
  • An afternoon full of excitement! Children will participate in thrilling motorboat rides, during which they will feel the wind in their hair and the thrill of sailing adventure. Additionally, they will learn the basics of first aid.

Trainings take place on Sobieszewska Island on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, without meals included. Participants must be children aged 6 to 12 years. The trainings are conducted by experienced sailing instructors.
