Fountain of Neptune



Fountain of Neptune is one of the most recognizable monuments of Gdańsk. Initially, a well stood in the place of the fountain. In the early 17th century, at the initiative of Mayor Bartholomaeus Schachmann, efforts were made to build a more impressive structure. The design of the figure depicting Neptune was created by architect and sculptor Abraham van den Blocke. The primary source of the water streams is the trident held by the lord of the seas.

Artus Court


Artus Court holds many secrets within itself and its history. Did you know that at one time this place was called "the most expensive tavern on the Baltic Sea"? This monument is located on Long Market. The origins of Artus Court date back to the Middle Ages.
